Stand-up comedian James R. Zingelman has appeared professionally as himself and as his alter ego, comedy stage hypnotist Rusty Z, in the following states:

Arizona (but it's a dry heat), Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa (just east of Omaha), Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico (where pain is a flavor), New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon (like northern California but not as weird), South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin (say, “Cheese!”) and Wyoming.
